I started making process paintings in 2016. Instead of being concerned with meaning, interpretation, and aesthetics, with these works I am more interested in the process and experience of repetitive mark making. | ||
Even as these works reference color symbolism, and, in some cases, the domestic space of fabric design, their primary function is as an antidote to the increasingly absurd world that we live in and the resulting difficulty that comes in finding and communicating meaning within this context. |
